The Pack is planning a fishing pack meeting at the Cove Lake development lake area Sunday April 19th
We will start our pack meeting at 2:00 p.m. at the picnic area with a review 1) types of fish that live in Cove Lake, 2) the different types of bait used to attract fish, 3) fishing laws and rules in Georgia, and 4) safety while fishing. Families are then welcome to try fishing from the shore until 4:00 p.m.
Point-of-contact: Bob Kenyon will be our main point-of-contact for this pack meeting. Bob’s cell phone number is 770-905-5260. Bob’s email is rkenyon@tds.net.
GPS address: The easiest way to get to the lake is to plug the following address in your GPS – 779 Cove Lake Dr, Marble Hill, 30148. Drive past this address and turn left down a single lane road (after their mailbox). Drive a quarter mile down the single lane road past the tennis court to the pavilion-lake area. Please park in the grass field or tennis court area.
Gate security code: Gate code will be given out at a later date. Gate security keypad buttons must be firmly entered and sometimes takes 2-3 efforts.
Fishing gear: If you have fishing gear, please bring it. We have five rod/reels to share for cubs that don’t have fishing gear. The game warden suggests using real worms or plastic worms for bait.
Picnic: There is a nice picnic pavilion with picnic tables. Families are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks for their own family.
Other: There are bathrooms near the picnic pavilion. Please wear your yellow Pack 20 t’shirts. You may want to bring a folding camp chair to sit on.
