July Pack Meeting –
Swimming at Big Canoe Beach Club and Pool at Lake Disharoon Sunday July 13th, 3:00 p.m.
Location: 461 Wolfscratch Dr, Big Canoe, GA 30143
The Beach Club at Lake Disharoon includes:
– zero entry swimming pool,
– 300-yard sandy beachfront on Lake Disharoon,
– roped off swimming section in the Lake,
– 200-foot rock slide,
– Inflatable water park for kids in the Lake,
– Paddle Boats, Canoes, Kayaks, and Paddle Boards,
– Lifejackets are required for lake activities but are provided for both kids and adults,
– Lifeguards certified by the American Red Cross.
Please arrive at 3:00 p.m. so your family can get checked in. Please leave extra time to get through the Big Canoe security gate.
Sam Tanner, cub scout dad, will be our pack leader for this event and checking in families at 3:00 p.m. at the swim club gates. Sam’s contact info is phone: 706-502-2164, email: [email protected].
– Registered cub scouts and one associated parent/guardian per cub scout can enter the event for free (the Pack will cover the Big Canoe club entry fee).
– If other adult family members would like to come, they are welcome, but will need to pay their own entry fee, $10 per person.
– Other family’s children (less than 18 years old) can attend at no charge.
– Registered scout leaders are free.
– If you have a gold Pack t’shirts please wear them. If you are new families or guests, no worries.
Families are welcome to stay as long as they want. The swim area closes at 8:00 p.m. We recommend you bring the standard beach items such as large towels, sunscreen, drinks and snack food. Beach chairs and lounge chairs are provided but you can bring your own, along with sand/water toys. Outside food and beverages are allowed at the Beach Club, with the exception of alcoholic beverages.

There is a food truck at the pool deck that will serve a limited kid’s menu. Payment for food is made directly at the truck.
Reformation Brewery has a serving tent on site as well with beverages, ice cream, and some snack choices, such as chips and candy bars. Payment is made at the tent for these items.
As an additional food choice, there is a restaurant called the Lake Bistro onsite that will take walk up/to go orders. They will have kid’s choices as well. Payment is made at the hostess stand. No wet clothes or bare feet are allowed at the Bistro.
