ADVENTURE IS WAITING – CUB SCOUT PACK 20

Scouting is adventure, family fun, outdoors, character, leadership and friends. With their family and friends, Cub Scouts in K-5th grade complete age-specific activities that are rewarding, teach character and leadership skills and are FUN!

Escape the indoors! Cub Scout Pack 20 is very engaged in many activities including hiking, fishing, camping, STEM projects, building and racing Pinewood Derby cars, crafts and more!  Cub Scouting encourages family fun while providing youth with a safe space to make friends and challenge themselves through age-appropriate activities. It is a program where children and parents feel like they belong to an organization that consistently reinforces worthwhile values like honesty, good conduct, and respect for others.  Cub Scout Pack 20 is located in the mountains of North Georgia!  We’re home to scouts from Jasper, Big Canoe, Bent Tree, Marble Hill, Tate, and Dawsonville. The pack is chartered by the Big Canoe Chapel.

Our Pack is unique in that unlike most packs, we don’t conduct our monthly den meetings at a Church, School or Office – we hold our meetings at our Scout Hut located in the woods.

SCOUT ME IN

Cub Scout Pack 20 has multiple opportunities for parents/guardians to sign-up their children, ages K through 5th grade, for 2024-25 scouting year:

  • Meet the Pack – Sign-up & Orientation, Scout Hut, Sunday August 25th @ 3:00 p.m. – 1849 Steve Tate Hwy, Marble Hill, GA
  • Register on-line at the following link: Applicant Type – My Scouting

Meet the Pack Day:

Pack 20 invites new Cub Scouts and their parent/guardians to our orientation day at the Scout Hut.  We will:

-Have Fun – Get Acquainted

-Enjoy a guided hike

-Tour the Scout Hut – our “home base”

-Briefly overview Cub Scouts and Pack 20

-Answer your questions

-Sign up cub scouts that are new to Pack 20

We encourage families to invite friends with children to also attend our Meet the Pack day, to see if they would like to join cub scouts.  For families that are coming to sign-up for Cub Scouts, adult leaders will be around before and after the meeting to help fill out applications and take registration payments.

-Please be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water for the hike.  Please do not wear flip/flop or open-toed shoes.

-You may want to bring a folding chair for the beginning of the meeting

-Each scout needs at least one parent/guardian with them during the meeting and hike.

-If there is a chance of rain, recommend bringing a jacket

-If weather is predicting continuous rain, we will postpone the meeting a week. Please watch for emails to come out after noon on Sunday if there is going to be a weather delay.

The Scout Hut is located near the “Terraces” outdoor amphitheater off Steve Tate Highway.  Address: 1849 Steve Tate Highway, Marble Hill, GA 30148

Make memories with your child that will last a lifetime.
