March Pack Meeting – Hike at Eagle’s Rest Park

We hope many of our Pack Families will attend our hike at Eagle’s Rest Park.

Date: Sunday, March 15, 2026, 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Location: Eagle’s Rest Park – https://www.eaglesrestpark.org/

Street address: 7315 Monument Rd. Jasper, GA 30143. Park along the side of the road near the Eagle’s Rest Park trail sign.

Uniform: Cubs and den leaders please wear your cub scout yellow t-shirt to the pack meeting.

Please meet at the Eagle’s Rest Park trail sign.  Scout leaders will be there to “sign-in” & “sign-out” families for the hike.

The drive to Eagle’s Rest Park is surprisingly long.  It takes 40 minutes to go between the Scout Hut and the park.  The last quarter mile from the gate to the trail sign is gravel & very rough. Caution.

Scouts (and parents) please wear appropriate clothing, closed toed shoes (no flip flops) and bring their Cub Scout Six Essentials in a small backpack or book bag.

Cub Scout 6-Essentials:

• Flashlight: A working flashlight with spare batteries
• Water bottle: A filled water bottle
• Whistle: A whistle
• First aid kit: A small first aid kit
• Sun protection: Sunscreen or other sun protection
• Trail food: A quick source of energy, like granola bars, trail mix, or dried fruit
